As we find ourselves approaching Autumn 2012, we look back on the Spring and Summer of 2012 and the wonderful events we provided A/V rental for. So check out this little photo journey.
When folks turn to TSV to provide great backline rental for any concert audio or other special events, we rely on our tried-and-true Vox AC30’s to get the job done right, time and time again.
The two amps that we mainly use are the AC30CC2 and the AC30HH.
But while we use these two amps quite a bit, we don’t really get much of an opportunity to hear them side-by-side in a true tone comparison test. So we thought to ourselves, what do these amps sound like when directly compared to eachother when run through the exact same speakers?
With that said, we decided to pit these two amps against eachother in an no holds barred AMPLIFIER SHOOTOUT!

Did you know that Saks Fifth Avenue at Plaza Frontenac is in the midst of a huge renovation? Work began in May on expansion of the Women’s Contemporary Apparel, Handbags, and Shoes Departments, and a second phase will begin this fall focusing on the Men’s, Jewelry and Beauty sections of the store. The store will remain open throughout the project.
So why is this on the TSV blog? Well, Saks is one of our favorite customers. We provide audio, video, and lighting equipment for events in the store, including fashion shows, parties, and charity fundraisers. Starting this fall, the updated store departments will be unveiled one by one, with a series of awesome events to christen the redesigned spaces. Tower Sound & Vision will be there with sound systems to keep the party going, and event lighting to highlight the beautiful work that has been done. Stay tuned for updates, and we’ll see you at Frontenac.
In the meantime, check out this video from the recent in-store Zenobia runway show.
Joel was recently on a trip through the northern Midwest on his way up to Toronto. While in Royal Oak, MI he snapped this pic of some really cool old vintage microphones.
And while TSV has a ton of microphones for your next sound system rental, mics like these would probably be a little harder to come by!
Joel won’t stop playing this Wild Nothing song around the TSV shop…we’re not complaining though, because it is AWESOME!
Also, Andrew is the one that told us about The Wild Nothing in the first place. So listen to “Shadow” here and if you don’t like it, which is highly unlikely, blame Andrew!
